GUIDE FRAMES
This is a picture of welded steel beams necessary for reinforcing a cofferdam. The frames are fabricated on the ground, lifted into position and temporarily supported by four wooden piles driven into the ground.
The frames act as a perimiter guide, as the sheet pile is driven into the ground. The frames are lowered, as the sheet pile is driven further into the ground, creating a safe environment for work below the water table.
